BBC Podcast: The Great Dolphin Release

The whole world is watching, as Johhny, Rocky, and Rambo are being release back into the ocean

Rescued dolphin Johhny is swimming out of his seapen after a successful rehabilitation.

JAAN, in collaboration with the Dolphin Project, led the mission to rescue and rehabilitate Johnny, Rocky, and Rambo—dolphins who had spent years performing in the world's last traveling dolphin circus and a Bali hotel swimming pool. Now, the whole world is watching, as Johhny, Rocky, and Rambo are being release back into the ocean— something that has never happened before.

The BBC interviewed Femke Den Haas and Ric O'Barry, discussing the beginnings of the program and its progression leading up to the dolphins' release.
